Radiesse

Radiesse

Known as a volumizing filler, Radiesse is approved by the FDA for cosmetic treatments. The injectable gel contains crystals of calcium-based microspheres that stimulate natural collagen growth. Because the crystals stimulate collagen to grow around them, the effect is soft and natural.

We use this filler for deep lines and wrinkles like nasolabial folds which run from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth or marionette lines which begin in the corners of the mouth and extend down towards the chin, to replenish lost volume in the cheeks, cheek lift and facial lipoathrophy, and is the only FDA aproved filler for hand rejuvenation.

Procedure

RADIESSE® Volumizing Filler treatments are a quick in-office procedure. We apply a numbing cream to minimize pain in the treatment area and in some cases nerve blocks (Like dentists do). Then we use a needle to inject the filler deep into the wrinkle site. The results are evident immediately. In fact, your comfort can be significantly improved during the procedure because RADIESSE® Volumizing Filler is FDA approved to mix with lidocaine, a local anesthetic. Treatments are usually completed in about 30 minutes. Because little to no downtime is required, it’s likely you’ll be free to return to your regular daily routine right afterwards. The results are immediate but you might have bruising for one week to 10 days after the procedure, and some patients experience slight swelling that generally diminish a day or two after treatment.

Radiesse is one of the longest-lasting temporary fillers available. The results can last between twelve and twenty-four months. People who choose this treatment experience an 80 percent improvement in their facial imperfections.
